Precision sample preparation & engineered diamond materials
Delaware
Imperial Instruments supplies the equipment that sits between a powder and an analytical result — hydraulic presses, the die sets they work with, heatable assemblies for thermal compaction, and engineered diamond materials.
Manual, automatic and XRF-dedicated pellet presses from 2 to 60 tons for FTIR and XRF sample preparation.
Circular, square, splitable, hardened alloy, FTIR and XRF die sets in a wide size range.
Thermal-assisted compaction die sets rated to 300 °C and 500 °C, supplied with a temperature controller.
Optical-grade diamond components, NV-centre materials and diamond anvil cells for advanced research and instrumentation.
How the range fits together
Every Imperial press is designed to work across the full die set range. Standard evacuable and non-evacuable cavities give uniform, high-density pellets. Ring dies hold the sample in a defined steel ring for XRF. Heatable dies add controlled temperature during compaction. Splitable, square and hardened alloy sets cover delicate, non-circular and high-wear applications.
